Executive Chairman & President
Beginning in 1981, Weller Evans was one of the ATP's two tour managers, travelling over 40 weeks a year dealing with all player-related issues at ATP events and all the Grand Slams. In addition to his tour manager duties, Evans served from 1985 through 1989 as one of the three player representatives on the Men's Tennis Council, the governing body of men's professional tennis at the time.
In 1990, with the creation of the ATP Tour, Evans assumed responsibility for the ATP's Player Services Department while continuing to travel as a tour manager to 20 tournaments per year. On everything from rankings to rules, entries to prize money, Evans worked for every ATP member on the international tennis scene until his retirement in January, 2006. He was also a member of the ATP Competition Committee from 2011-2013.
