It may not be easy for stars such as Arthur Fils and Alex Michelsen to tackle trivia of pop culture from the year they were born, but when the question circles back to tennis, they are a walking encyclopedia.

The eight players competing at the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF, born in years spanning from 2004-2006, were quizzed on topics like movies, music and football in our latest 'The Year I Was Born' feature. Luca Van Assche cracked a laugh and started dancing when recalling the most popular song in 2004 — even though the Frenchman said he does not know who sings the hit.

Watch the full video above to see how Fils also had a hilarious moment remembering the chart-topping song. That was not the only laugh Fils provided. The 20-year-old had to sort out the difference between Shrek actor Mike Myers and Halloween character Michael Myers.

Michelsen struggled to name the winner of the 2004 Euros, cheekily pointing out, “I’m American!” But the No. 41 player in the PIF ATP Rankings had no trouble rattling off the major titles Roger Federer claimed that season — a question that several players nailed.
