Ben Shelton is on the verge of breaking into the Top 10 of the PIF ATP Rankings, but he isn’t just shining on the court. The 22-year-old lefty is also making waves off it, appearing in the latest edition of Vogue Magazine.

The American, who sits at a career high of World No. 12, reflected on his rapid rise and the qualities that have fueled his early success. Having reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam for the second time at this year’s Australian Open, Shelton is knocking on the door of a Top 10 breakthrough. He will aim to build momentum at his home ATP Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells this week, where he is the 11th seed.

“I wasn’t really supposed to be this great player,” Shelton told Vogue. “So to get to the Top 20 in the world within two years of playing college tennis? That’s something that I don’t take for granted.”

Another promising lefty on the verge of breaking into the Top 10 is Briton’s Jack Draper, who is also relishing the limelight in Vogue’s latest edition.

The World No. 14, Draper is a two-time tour-level champion and is just two spots off his career-high ranking. He clinched his first ATP Tour crown on the grass of Stuttgart in June last year, and backed it up with a stellar end to his 2024 campaign by reaching the semi-finals at the US Open and winning his first ATP 500 title in Vienna.

“Before Stuttgart, I’d say I was knocking on the door of winning things, but then to go there and win that one gave me a lot of confidence,” Draper told Vogue. “This is a difficult sport because you can have a great career, and not a lot to show for it. You don’t have a title or you don’t have a good result in a Grand Slam. It feels good having something to my name.”

Competing as the 13th seed in Indian Wells, Draper aims to build on an impressive start to 2025, in which he reached the fourth round at the Australian Open and the championship match at the ATP 500 in Doha.
