
Second seeds Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden survived an unexpected scare from Brazilian wild cards Orlando Luz and Marcelo Zormann to reach the third round of the Roland Garros doubles draw Sunday.

Third seeds Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury dispatched Gonzalo Escobar and Aleksandr Nedovyesov 6-4, 6-4 to reach the third round. Ram and Salisbury have advanced to the quarter-finals in Paris three times together and will look to reach that stage again when they meet Gregoire Barrere and Lucas Pouille. The Frenchmen defeated 13th seeds Jamie Murray and Michael Venus 6-4, 7-6(6).
Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson also advanced, defeating seventh seeds Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Australians Purcell and Thompson have won three tour-level titles together in 2024.
