Frenchman qualified for his 1st career Grand Slam tournament at 2023 US Open, defeating No. 2 seed Garin in 1R and posting 7-5 in 3rd set wins over Sandgren in 2R and Coppejans in final round. This is only his 2nd hard court tournament of season, 1st since February at Cherbourg Challenger where he was runner-up.
Prior to qualifying at Flushing Meadows, had never played in a tour-level main draw, and only Grand Slam tournament he attempted to qualify in was 2023 Roland Garros where he lost in 1R.
Has made breakthrough in 2023 by compiling a 16-12 record on ATP Challenger Tour and reaching 3 finals: in Cherbourg, FRA as Q (l. to Zeppieri), Modena, ITA (l. to Nava) and Amersfoort (l. to Marterer).
