Nicknames is ‘Dalla’. Speaks Italian, English and Spanish.
Parents are Andrea and Marinella.
Began playing tennis aged six in Ravenna when his cousin invited him to try the sport. Fell in love with tennis from there.
Won junior national championships and at age 13 moved to Tirrenia to train under the Italian Federation. Stayed there until he was 21.
Had surgery on both hips, which kept him off Tour for almost two years.
Giorgio Galimberti and his staff believed in him and were important to his development.
In 2023 began working with a psychologist and a mental coach, who have contributed a lot.
Favourite shot is forehand, surface is clay, tournament is Rome and city on Tour is also Rome.
Tennis idol is Roger Federer, favourite athletes are Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Valentino Rossi.
Outside of tennis, favourite sport is football and his preferred team is A.C. Milan. Also enjoys video games.
Favourite movie is Iron Man, TV show is Prison Break, actor is Robert Downey Jr. and musicians are Luciano Ligabue and Coldplay.
Favourite foods are pizza and pasta and guilty pleasure is sleeping all day.
Dream job was to become a tennis coach and sport manager.
