Father, Jay; mother, Deborah. Credits parents for inspiring him even though neither played tennis.
Began playing tennis at age 8 after watching 2 players fromCreighton University in Omaha.
Coached as a junior by both his father and Rick Faust.
Also played baseball until high school. Favourite school subject was math.
Played college tennis for Texas A&M University from 2011-16 (redshirted in 2011 and 2015). Three-time All-American in doubles.
Earned undergraduate degree in finance and graduate degree in sports management.
Serves as volunteer assistant coach for men's tennis team at University of Nebraska.
Favourite shot is serve, surface is hard, tournament is US Open and city on tour is Stockholm.
Idol growing up was fellow Omaha native Andy Roddick. Also admired baseball player Derek Jeter.
Favourite actor is Mark Wahlberg and musicians are Dylan Scott and Post Malone.
Fan of Kansas City Royals (MLB) and Kansas City Chiefs (NFL).
Favourite superhero is Thor, book is The Old Man and the Sea, movie is Miracle and TV show is The Office.
Dream job is athletic director.
Favourite food is steak, but guilty pleasure is chocolate chip cookies.
Supports Team Jack Foundation, which funds pediatric brain cancer.
