Arthur Fils and Alexei Popyrin have each announced changes to their coaching team ahead of the Miami Open presented by Itau.
The 20-year-old Fils, who on Monday rose to a career-high No. 18 in the PIF ATP Rankings, has split with his fellow Frenchman Sebastien Grosjean after 15 months. During the pair’s time together, Fils won his first ATP 500 titles in Hamburg and Tokyo, respectively, while he also reached his maiden ATP Masters 1000 quarter-final just a week ago in Indian Wells.
“By mutual agreement with Sébastien, we have decided to end our collaboration, wrote Fils in French on Instagram. “I thank him for his support during the 15 months he spent on the circuit and wish him the best for the future.”
Meanwhile Popyrin has parted ways with Xavier Malisse. The Australian World No. 26 has struggled to find his best form so far this year after racking up a personal-best 28 tour-level wins in 2024.
“Hey guys, @xavier.malisse and I have mutually decided to stop working together,” wrote Popyrin, who won his maiden ATP Masters 1000 title under Malisse’s guidance last August at the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers in Montreal. “I just want [to] thank X for all the amazing memories, fun vibes and hard work! Thank you X-Man.”
